The main concept of the collection is “Sensible Reset”. Slow-Down as a counter concept to hectic activity and permanent pressure to perform. The longing for relaxation and calm as a natural reflex.
This idea is deepened based on the philosophy of “Wabi-Sabi” and transferred to fashion. “Wabi-Sabi” is a philosophy that sees beaty as a closed cycle. A harmonic balance is created, which can be traced back to nature.
The influence of time, which is reflected in aging and wear and tear, is taken up as a principle in “Wabi-Sabi”, for object with emotions and authenticity. Through modesty, harmony and silence and the use of natural shapes, materials and structures, an atmosphere, that creates and expresses simplicity and has a positive influence on a person’s wellbeing.
What is exact and perfect does not carry any overtones, there is no space for freedom. The perfect is immobile and regulated, cold and hard. Beauty needs space around it, it has to be linked to freedom. Freedom is beauty.
Wabi-Sabi is used as the opposite pole to the constantly advancing digitization of reality.
The digital area does not meet “Wabi-Sabi” standards of completeness and truthfulness and on an honest emotional level, “Wabi-Sabi” is authentic and real, and therefore also timeless, thanks to the appreciative connection to nature.
